for all you anime shopping fans....

Sasuga Japanese Bookstore

This is a great place to go for manga/art books. they have a great selection online, and get your stuff to you fast. nice little store in massachusettes, too. i can't say anything bad about a store that can give me kasai ayumi, i really can't.

Anime Palace

anime palace sells all sorts of stuff. they get in lots of little things, and if you're looking for UFO catchers, check them out. they've got figures, capsule figures, keychains...i think wizzywig highly rivals them. the price difference between them is only a few cents/dollars, so i guess it's whichever one is closer...

Wizzywig Collectibles

gosh, they make me want hide keychains (r.i.p.)! great prices, lotsa fun, little stuff. i can't believe all the stuff they have! UFO catchers, keychains, capsule toys, models, art books, cds, videos, shirts, wallscrolls, etc.. like anime palace. great, great place.

Anime Plus

i've always depended on anime plus. i like to call them to place orders, though. i always get the better deal that way. once i ordered 3 utena posters from them that turned out to be promos...NICE promos...for only $5 a piece. incredible. i'm not sure if they have any more promos online..that's why i call them. cheap, cheap promo posters. plus, everything else you'll need.

Comictones

i'm always suprised at the amount of people who don't know about comictones. they're a part of omochabox.com. comictones has everything a lil' manga artist could need from pens to how-to books to screentone. when i ordered from them, they sent me a free t-shirt, newsletter, bumper-sticker, and more, i just don't remember. i've never gotten so much free stuff for nothing in my life. plus, all they're merchandise has helped me ink every picture you see in my site. they're the best store ever.

Casablanca Comics

they're a comics store, but they have great print prices for the 1000 limited editions print posters, along with a great selection. i love ah! megami sama and mugen no juunin prints, so this is always my shopping destination. =D

Drooling Anime Fan Sales

'DAFS'...i have been ordering from here FOREVER. great place for movic posters, and they won't rip ya off. they're fast and friendly, and make life that much easier. i've depended on them time and time again for posters, and they have sales a lot. i would reccommend them to ANYONE.

THE ULTIMATE IN FANSUBBING

here is where you'll find a wiiiide selection of dependable fansubbers. you'll spend HOURS here. if you go to they're distro list, you'll get links to an enormous amount of fansubbers...the list will boggle your little eyes. very, VERY helpful. any anime fan should visit here. it's simply a goldmine.

Get-a Geta's Getaya

Akai-Hanao-no-Jojo

i know it's silly of me, but i went on a hunt to find zori and geta (japanese shoes) and here's some of the simpler sites on it. if you've seen ruroni kenshin, or any geisha picture, you'll see geta and zori. zori are woven shoes that the japanese wear, while geta are wooden. anyways, getaya's gives some good links to stores and an explination of the shoes. Hanao are the straps on the shoes. =D

House of Anime

one of the few places that actually offers free shipping, enough said.

Hobby Link Japan

This is possibly the best store to get anything EVER. they carry all the best stuff straight from japan, and yes, that includes every new gundam under the sun. they carry models and kits mainly, but everything in YEN PRICED. also, shipping is incredibly fair, not a standard of $15 a package for a stick of gum or something like that. this is another must!!!!! also, the owner is very good at putting the store's items together, and i believe is VERY knowledgeable on the subject, and expert. ask him anything from injection lines on gundams and how to get rid of them to the authentic metal jewellery on the ultimate belldandy model.

Luthien Enterprises

this is another store with lotsa stuff from UFO catchers to art books to phone books. worth a look, i'd say.

Desert Rose

this is one of THE best sites for X Japan. it's got everything from where to get the music, the lyrics ( YES! PEOPLE FINALLY HAVE LYRICS, JAPANESE AND TRANSLATED!), the people, etc.. in case you don't know, X is a VERY popular band that disbanded yet produced Yoshiki, Hide, Toshi, etc.. for you anime fans, they sang the ending song for the X/1999 movie. yea, that awesome song, Forever Love. if you don't know X, i suggest you get your butt in gear, or miss that ever so vital moment in your life when you realize that songs can express your heart so aptly and run through your veins as naturally as what runs in them now.

Nikaku Animart

I've spent lots of $ here, basically on art books. a GREAT selection, and prices even better than kinokuniya!!! this place knocked me flat on my back! thanks, nikaku!! how did you get your prices so low?

Otaku Publishing

they've got tons of books, dvds, cds, and singles. they're in japan, but they cut a fair deal. i got a sailor moon original hardcover art book off them, and there was a VERY *minor* crease on one page, so they knocked off $17. i know lots of stores that would try to sell it to you and not even tell you there was a crease, or a rip...or that the book was really a chinese knockoff! really great store.

...And here for the pleasure of the art and manga fan!!!

Inuyasha

The guy who runs this site is simply amazing. he's translated EVER SINGLE inuyasha issue to date. he even adds in several notes about japanese culture. also, he's got info on the series in general from takahashi herself to shounen sunday, to scans, etc.. the translations are easy to read, and you can't possibly get lost while reading the manga.

Peach Girl

GREAT manga, and here's the source. Miwa Ueda's own website. it's in japanese, but easy to navigate around. she's got pics of her dog on there, too. ^.^ also, for those interested in the rare, it's got the original color pages from the first magazine printings. great stuff, great stuff.

Angel

you have to check her out! this girl is only 15 and is doin' really well for herself. she's an artist, so give her a chance!
