Sketches

Ok, most of these are just me putzing around~ i draw squat characters when i have artist's block, so... there's a lot of those in here!! HAHAHA! oh well~ they pretty cute, anyways. I don't really have any super-shaded 'finished' sketches, i mainly do them for fun or out of boredom. I also almost always do a sketch before i do a watercolor picture, so you may find some 'familiar' pictures. More sketches (about 50) to come within...hmm...maybe a month or two? As soon as i fill up my sketch book. Tamara (the girl who owns the 'Nyo' section and who scans all my art~ <and has best-friend status ^_^>) didn't like the layout, so i'm going to do this and see if she likes it better. ^.^

P.S. i usually draw girls just because it comes easier to me~. that's why most of these are girls~ it's just what i can do best, fastest, and so, most often.

			Tamara said, "draw a sexy guy!!" so~ i drew hiroyuki here. i always name random guys ''hiroyuki' or 'kai' for some reason. just like calling them 'john doe.' those aren't even my favorite names for japanese guys, either~ tamara could scan 2 pictures, and this was 1 of 'em.
			i actually stepped on the color copy of this...i made a photo copy of the original, because i was lazy and didn't want to ink it, but wanted to color it. then i stepped on it, but i have it here, anyways, so it all evens out. her shirt is supposed to have zippers on it, and that's all i have to say about that. (this is of Toto~)
			yes, nanako loves hiroyuki. v_v;; i saw a picture of a girl doing something like this in a magazine, and i thought, "Nanako would look SO much cuter than that girl!"
			Nanako is one of my own characters, so i draw her whenever i'm bored. i just wanted to draw someone with straight black hair~ and those really straight bangs. i love that. ^_^ she's a character i drew once then decided that i'd make something of it and make her a returning character. this is one of my favorite sketches of her.
			hahaha~ this is o-chan, short for ophilia. I LOVE HER HAIR. i'm going to have to do a watercolor of her just so people will be able to see how pretty she is!! she's adorable in squat, too, and also frequented my notes last year. i like this one a lot, though~ she's reaching up for a little butterfly. reminds me of chibi-jess'ca, age 6. ^_^
			hm~ i'll just put all the o-chan ones in a row. for some reason i picture those little japanese ghostie spirits around her. you know what i'm talking about? I was drawing all my characters in kimonos the day i drew this, but i think o-chan looks kinda creepy in this picture. 9_9;; I like her kimono, though. -_-;;
			just some o-chan one i did~ she's so cute in squat, and she's a kind of magic-user demoic-type, so this pose suited her well. i'm pretty happy about it, no matter how old the sketch is.
			somehow this one reminds me of I's. i toned down the eyes in this sketch just to see if i could, and gave her short, cute hair (it's black, but i wanted to leave the picture light and sketchy). i think i was going for something more realistic, but firmly staying on manga basis. shrug i like her lips most of all, and i think her features come together well. i wish i had thought of a more original outfit than a Jr. High student.
			i love sesshoumaru!! this is actually a small squat fanart from inuyasha (by rumiko takahashi). i wasn't sure if i should split up my sketches section between 'fanart' and 'original', but i suppose i won't for now. i think this is one of my favorite pictures just because it's so cute and it makes me want to look at it. laugh i just love his feet!
			Me and Platypussy!! ^.^ this is a silly doodle i did during my latinII class~ it's me and my platypus, Platypussy. i love him to death!!
			hm~ i think that every once in a while artists just have to draw a racy character. in my case, it's sheyohko with her butt sticking out the back of her kimono and her chest stickin' out in the front. ^_^;; this was a relatively quick sketch. this isn't the only time this character will appear: my sketchbook is kind to her. she's kind of an old character with a newer edge. she's been revised about 3 times haha poor thing. i think i'm going to make her carrying around a sythe from now on, too~ how scary.
			ok, this picture was originally REALLY small, but tamara always blows everything up like 10 fold. this is from the character sketches i did of Toto (she's got tons of nicknames..from another one of those mangas you've planned out but will never make~). she always wears really awesome clothes, so it's fun drawing her. i make her a little thinner than i usually make my characters because she's supposed to be a model. i thought it was funny to see how bad those faux-snakeskin pants turned out, and how much worse it was when tamara super-enlarged it.
				for some reason i have an obsession with drawing little mikos when i'm bored. something just compels me. am i crazy?
				Nanako!!!!!! yay!! this is the first picture i ever drew of nanako! it's kind of in an utena-esque style...well, the lips are ^_^;; I think the way drew her nose in this one set the first stone for the 'newer' way i draw noses now. i really love this picture, and i've grown quite attached to it. 9_9;;
				Serenity sketch. it's just like the watercolor rendition of it. i really like the sketch a lot better, though. i think it looks a lot softer. it's a pretty rough sketch, actually, and i was hasty. but still, it looks nice.
