~Fanart~

(what you're here at my site for, right? There's some more fanart in the Art 4 Sale section~)

Ayeka from tenchi muyo. not the biggest tenchi fan, myself, but i felt like drawing someone in a kimono really bad and purple hair had suddenly appealed to me. i don't like the flowers i hastily put in as a filler; i really wish i took more time so it didn't ruin the picture. *sigh* i didn't draw my own style profile, instead i tried to mimick the tenchi manga a bit.
This is a watercolor i did of sailor moon. i was doing a quick sketch of her, then decided that i'd turn it into a finished piece. She's holding something glowy, i guess. I thought it'd look nice. I love the way i painted her outfit..the blue and the red. I think this piece has a good feeling to it, too. hm~
wow. i dunno...this is a pic of Momo Adachi. Ueda-sama usually draws momo really sensual, and i thought it would be fun. i think this is one of my favories..i love the colors, the 'red' theme, and i LOVE how the colors on her dress just meld and explode! definately a fav of mine ^_^ actually, this is one of the first pieces of art that i thought was actually good enough to go on my wall. it's accompanied by my serenity one, and that's about it~.
momo adachi from peach girl. damn good manga. it started as just momo, and then i decided to frame her w/ her name theme, and i had to go to Miwa Ueda's website to get the color of her uniform, tho...to tell the truth, i brought a peach up to my art desk for the peach-colors. aaah...i could smell it! it made me really get the peaches right! peaches rule...
i always explain my sailor moon fanart to death *sweatdrop*. this one and the one below it are done on large paper, so it's hard to get a nice image out of it. i went and got a print of them downsized, but the colors were darker. *sigh* there's no pleasing me when i make prints. i wanted to give the serenity one a nice feeling, very calm. i 'aged' the paper by washing it with a light brown, then made the whole picture with the same color, but applied the paint differently to get darker and llighter shades. the brown ink on her hair bled a bit, and i had been wondering how to do her hair (as in color) so i just water-washed her hair so it bled and looked like it was glowing. i was very pleased that i had made runny ink into a nice effect. one of the main reasons i put the picture in brown, too, was because if it was in true color, the white would be overpowering. Serenity's hair is white, her outfit's white, and she's pale-skinned. it took me a while to color after inking because i just didn't know what to do, or how to attack the color in the picture. i hope it came out OK with the browns that i used. *sigh*
This features usagi in the middle, holding her glowing locket with a rose from tuxedo mask on her windowsill, and he can be seen in the backround on a small clocktower in front of the moon. usagi's window is open, and there's a slight night bleeze blowing up gauzy transparent curtains that make the colors through it gentle with a nice contrast, and helps the mood of the piece. usagi is framed by all of the senshi (except for the starlights-- i didn't think that they would be appropriate, or chibi-chibi would be apropriate, either), and i did that with the idea that they were always looking over her. I kept the rose theme going by using them in each corner to keep the picture even and flowing. I made each senshi color weave around them...i had quite a time deciding if i was going to make the border the same color or use the senshi colors...i'm glad i chose the senshi colors. it makes the picture more diverse, and the white backround behind the rose frame evens the picture as a main color, which heightens the fact that i chose different colors for the senshi border. i just love how this whole picture manages to come together. i also put the inner senshi in the order of their appearance in the manga/anime. i don't think i really did that with the outers, because pluto got stuck on top (i ran out of room...plus, she's kinda like the 'loner' of the senshi, you know??). oh well~hope u like it! Gah~ it's kind of scary that i had to stretch the thumbnail out like that...O_O;;
hm~ yet another fanart to add to the endless pile of sailor moon art. i love drawing serenity!! it's crazy! i just wanted to make her look like she usually does, with a warm smile. i really like the original sketch much better, but i like the lightness of the color picture, too.
i had to do a holiday picture this year. something was really compelling me to do this. this picture actually took me a while to do because i didn't want to go out of the lines ^_^;;. there were so many small spots in between usagi's covers and her hair i was really getting annoyed!! i put in lights in the upper left corner for a filler, but everyone really seems to like what it does for the picture in general. v_v;; she's holding a mistletoe that came in a letter from mamo-chan (in japanese..so sue me) that's on her bed. it reads, "usagi - i love you. - Mamo-chan". i thought it would be cute. i also added lil' pictures (from chibi-usa) on the wall, but tamara said the one with chibi-usa on it looked scary, but it's cute, too. *_* oh well.
ah~ i love this picture. i like the way i did the hair~ i blended in some oranges for a stronger color. i make darker colors in the backround that were already mixed, and it really made the picture look nice, and udagi stand out in a nice way. it's nude, but i thought it wasn't *too* racy or anything, so~. oh well~ i like it lots.
